Panther Co-ed Relays

Overall Results

The first-ever Panther co-ed 4 x 2K cross-country relay meet was a success. Kicking off Pittsfield High School's homecoming, the race was held over a challenging loop that featured pavement, dirt paths, treacherous roots and a pair of foot bridges. Pittsfield, Farmington and Bishp Brady competed, entering a total of 13 teams.

Bishop Brady's seven teams, led by the winning quartet of Alice Field, Ruby Weldon, Mike Walsh and Jeremy Huckins (28:34), finished in the top nine slots overall. Teams in the top ten each received real (not watered-down) New Hampshire maple syrup as prizes.

The allure of this event was its novelty. All the kids agreed that their sport needs more events like this, and hopefully the Panther Relays will grow in the future.
