No Frills-All Hills 5K

Hartshorne Woods, Highlands, NJ--Over 100 intrepid runners came out on a somewhat cool, but VERY humid, Saturday morning for a chance to earn an "I Survived the No Frills-All Hills 5K" T-shirt and, more importantly, to meet Bernie McCauley, veteran of many a road race and marathon.

On the steepest part of the course, under a green canopy of trees, the runners were greeted by signs with such encouraging phrases as "Deadman's Hill". Official NJRRC Photographer, Ian Lifchus, snapped photos of all as they met the hilly challenge.

The race was staged by the New Jersey Road Runners Club.

The top three men and women and the first Club finishers each received a commemorative rock with plaque attached.
