The 1st Annual Southtowns Family Fun Race, a 2.5 mile run and 1 mile walk to benefit Hunter Hope and other local charities took place on Saturday, October 21st, 2000, at 11:00 am.
The race, powered by Southtowns Financial Group, was a huge success as we had over 250 registered participants, and raised over $3,000 for local charities.
Special thanks to Jim Kelly who cycled in to welcome everyone on behalf of Hunter's Hope, and the WNY Historical Railway Society and St. John's Lutheran Church for the use of their facilities and parking lots.
We would also like to thank all of our sponsors, some of which included Runner's Roost, Capelli's Pizzeria, Troyer Farms, Minute Maid, Citadel Communications Group, CJ Sound, Butterwood Desserts, Pinehill Coffee Services, and the many others who contributed donations, prizes, food and beverages, etc. to help make our event such a great success.
