Upstate Holiday Classic Track & Field Meet

Geneva, NY, December 29, 2001

Just under 200 athletes from Western NY braved the snowy weather conditions to attend 
the Upstate Holiday Classic III Indoor Track & Field Meet held at Bristol 
Field House, Hobart & William Smith College, in Geneva, NY, on Saturday, 
December 29, 2001. This meet also served as the USATF Niagara Association Senior 
Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Genesee Valley Harriers of Rochester, NY hosted the meet.

Outstanding Performer for the Men was triple winner Tim O'Riley, an Albany State Sophomore. Tim won the 55m 
Hurdles (8.29), the 400m Dash (53.07) and the Long Jump (21' 
6.25").
 
Outstanding Performer for the Women was Heather Stevens of Manlius, NY. Heather 
won the 55m Dash (7.41) and the 200m Dash (26.67).

Thanks go to the Genesee Valley Harriers and Meet Directors Bill Quinlisk and Pete 
Glavin. Also thanks to the officials Mike Reif, Dale Ladd, Bob Goodell, Rick 
Smith, Dave Warth, Adam Cross and Perry Jenkins for a very well run 
meet.
