RTW Runners Greeted by Heat and Humidity - II

Two-time former RTW course record holder Andy Rihn overcame an early lead by multi-time RTW winner Craig Calmes to win for the second consecutive time. As was the case in the previous race, any possibility of challenging Gabriel Rodriguez' CR of 15:29 was made virtually impossible by the weather conditions - temperature in the upper 70's at the start with high humidity.

Soon to be Sam Houston State University runner Melissa Poole, an RTW regular, was an uncontested women's division winner.

The next race in the series is scheduled for Saturday, July 13th. Because there are five Saturdays in June, there is a three-week break in between race #'s 60 and 61. The entry fee remains $1.00 (yes, one dollar).
