Jersey Shore Mile

It was a rainy and windy evening on the Long Branch Promenade. Runners who braved the elements and ran the 3rd annual Jersey Shore Mile, were rewarded with the hospitality of Rooney's Ocean Crab House. The kick-off event of the New Jersey Shore Marathon weekend, benefited Children's Charities.
The Women's Mile was won by Barbara Moldoch of Pt. Pleasant, who lead the way in a time of 5:25. In 2nd place was teen sensation Maura Bolger of Brielle in 5:37. Third-place was taken by the phenomenal 8 year old Brianna Jackucewicz of Farmingdale in 6:05.
In the Men's Mile the winner was 23 year old Arland Macasieb of Clifton in 4:50. Following closely were Drew University runners Andrew Phillip and Kevin Purcell in 4:51 and 4:54 respectively.
